I took Anya Perepelkina's Skillshare class on how to create a simple Procreate animation. I wanted to move away from realism and create something that felt more playful and stylised. I deliberately made the figure's shoulders wide, so that she is bold and takes up space. I love grid patterns so chose to keep the pattern on her clothing in a flat plane, to emphasise the flatness of the illustration. I chose colours that felt uplifting and retro.
This became an A3 fine art print. Printed on 230gsm Felix Schoeller True Matt High White paper.
